Happy Thanksgiving!

No baby yet! We had a check-up yesterday (our due date) and everything is looking good. My parents are here and they are going to make Thanksgiving dinner for us! We are having a great day and we're thankful for our friends and family. We hope all of you out there are having a great Thanksgiving.

And, we hope to have some more exciting news for you soon! It probably won't be today, though!

Less than a week?

It's rare for a baby to arrive on his/her due date, but if ours does, that means one week from now, the baby will already be born! Our due date is Nov. 26, a week from yesterday.

They say the first baby is usually late, but my mom's first was early and so was my sister's. So we shall see!

My last day of work was Friday. This week I have been doing little projects around the house, hanging out with Sally, doing errands and cooking dinner. I love being on vacation! I've been doing a lot of relaxing. I will get a burst of energy, tackle a little project, and then get really tired and need a rest.

I am still not at the point where I'm impatient for the baby to arrive. I'm enjoying this time relaxing and preparing for his/her arrival. Pete and I worked really hard to get our big tasks done during October so we have been able to take it easy lately without having to scramble to get things done. We have been going out to dinner a lot and seeing movies.

Baby Tunes

I'm not sure when Mini Miller will start enjoying music, but we're ready for that day when it comes. So far we've got Celtic lullabies, African lullabies, American folk lullabies, the Wiggles singing classic nursery rhymes, Tom T. Hall's "Country Songs for Children," the original Mini-Miller Omaha mix, and, from the bizarro Rockabye Baby! series, lullaby renditions of Coldplay, The Stones, Pink Floyd, U2, The Beatles, and Led Zeppelin. Any other recommendations?

2 weeks to go

Our official due date is two weeks from tomorrow, Nov. 26. We are pretty much ready to go, as far as having the house set up, ready for the baby to start living here (on the outside). However, I need to make it through the end of this week if at all possible -- I still need to wrap up some stuff at work. My last day is this Friday and I'm very excited!
